Little Corona

Had a blast in Little Corona! Glad we could all get together and share a little of God's beautiful nature! The pics tell it all - well, maybe they don't show our sunburns, but being a little red is worth all of the fun we had together.

Don't forget the fundraiser lunch tomorrow after our worship service. Also, we'll be handing out the September calendar - lots of great activities coming up. Check the right side of this website to see what's ahead!

Beach Day

This Saturday is our trip to the beach! We're going to be meeting at the church at 9:30 a.m. and driving to Little Corona beach. That way we'll hopefully beat the large crowds and we'll get a good couple of hours in and then we can head back somewhat early, stopping for a lunch on the way back.

Dodger Day!

Great day today at Chavez Ravine for the L.A. Dodgers. They came from behind to beat the Colorado Rockies 4-3. We had a great group there for Faith Day (and lunchbox day for those kids under 14) and had a blast trying to stay cool in the shaded reserved seat section while munching Dodger dogs, popcorn and Cracker Jack, while cheering our team on to victory!

Afterwards, part of our group stuck around for a free Christian concert by Hawk Nelson (and Sophie was able to meet Bob the tomato and Larry the cucumber from VeggieTales). It was a wonderful day - thank you to all the families who came.

L.A. Dodgers Christian Family Day

The August calendar is almost done and one thing in the works is a trip to a professional baseball game (which was suggested by a few people). We'll be going to the watch the Los Angeles Dodgers play the Colorado Rockies on Sunday, August 19th at 1:10 p.m. This is the annual Christian Family Day at Dodger Stadium. Tickets are $14. After the game Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato from the hit animated series "Veggie Tales" will be on hand for pictures with kids in attendance. Also, there will be a live concert by Christian band Hawk Nelson and Dodger player testimonies. We'll leave right after our worship service on Sunday morning and eat Dodger dogs for lunch - what could be better? If you want to go, let Jeff know how many tickets you would like NO LATER than Sunday, July 29th so we can order and hold our tickets. If you have any questions, e-mail Jeff!
